KODIYALA HANDLOOM REVIVAL AND TRAINING UNIT
Shreni's Handloom Revival and Training Unit in Kodiyala, Karnataka is the first of our projects to set up a center for weaving to revive the very practice of handloom work. We work with experienced weavers to combine the rich Wadayar-era heritage of Kodiyala weaving and a sustainable livelihood with fair wages. We also train women of the community to become independent weavers in their own right. Shop for Handloom products from Kodiyala, and support the generational art and tradition of handloom weaving.
